Painters run high-volume, thin-margin jobs. Interior wall painting pays ₹7–₹15/sq ft for labour; a 2BHK repaint (about 1,500–2,000 sq ft of wall) brings in ₹12,000–₹35,000 including paint. The trade rewards speed and finish quality — a fast, clean painter completes two jobs a month per two-man team. Adding texture painting (₹40–₹120/sq ft) or PU/Duco polish (₹25–₹60/sq ft) doubles the daily rate.
Carpenters bill fewer but larger jobs. A single modular-kitchen labour bill is ₹40,000–₹80,000; a wardrobe is ₹15,000–₹40,000.
